This event is for gamechangers who are interested in entering the tech industry and/or are looking for a career shift. The panel features badass women who will share their insights on career growth and their path into tech. Dinner and drinks will be served.

Alisa leads engineering recruiting at Bounce Exchange. As a former agency recruiter and consultant, she advised and hired for companies ranging from early-stage startups to established industry behemoths. That broad perspective of the current tech world continues to drive her focus on diversity in tech, mindful company growth, and working with rooms full of people who want to both do well and do good in the world.
Alisa likes building teams, building hype, and talking to people who are smarter than her. She’s also done everything from professional songwriting to writing environmental activism op-eds before landing in tech, and believes that the modern career has room to be a multifaceted project like never before.
Cassidy is a software engineer and developer evangelist at Clarifai. She's worked for Venmo, Intuit, Microsoft, and General Mills, and graduated with a computer science degree from Iowa State University in 2014. She's had the honor of working with various organizations, including Hacker Fund as their Director of Outreach.
She’s an avid public speaker and one of Glamour Magazine's 35 Women Under 35 Who Are Changing the Tech Industry and LinkedIn’s Top Professionals 35 & Under. As an avid speaker, Cassidy has participated in meetups and events including the Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Computing, SXSW, the National Center for Women & IT Summit, TEDxDesMoines, the United Nations, and the U.S.A. Science and Engineering Festival. She wants to inspire generations of STEM students to be the best they can be, and her favorite quote is from Helen Keller: "One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.” She also likes tacos and karaoke.

Cathy is a senior product lead @ Conde who specializes in building elegant technical solutions for complex challenges. Her previous experiences at Birchbox, the United Nations, Coalition, and various startups fueled her appetite for re-energizing and strengthening products with each new release. She believes all products have equal inherent potential to be delightful; to be so dangerously easy that users swear we've hacked their brains and read their minds.
Cathy also moonlights as a nerd who attempts to build Iron Man suits and lightsabers with varying degrees of success. Having learned how to code at thirteen, she remains close to technology in many aspect of her life and is an advocate for developing oneself through hobbies and fearless exploration. Side projects include wikitongues, TAing Linux, and climbing a s***ton of mountains.
Quiessence’s personal motto is “Polished Exterior, Techie Interior”. She is an Information Security professional with 10 years of experience working in the financial industry. Quiessence is the co-founder of JOURNi - an EdTech non-profit launching in Detroit and the creator of Securing Your Path - a community of women in Information/Cyber Security in NYC. She is active in the tech community and made significant strides in exposing youth to the world of technology through previous work with Urban Tech Alliance, Black Girls Code, and Qeyno Labs. Quiessence is a mom, mentor, coder, hacker, strategist, and change agent.

Rebecca Garcia is the Founder of GeekGirlWeb, Co-founder of CoderDojo NYC, former CTO of Greatist, Developer Evangelist at Squarespace and currently working on Civic Tech & Innovation at Microsoft. In 2013 she was awarded as a U.S. White House Champion of Change for 'Tech Inclusion', 2014 as Glamour Magazine's 'Top 35 Under 35 Changing the Tech Industry', 2015 as AskMen's Top 99 Outstanding Women and this year as Hispanicize's STEM Star.
